WELCOME MESSAGE from SVO

The Student Veteran Organization (SVO) at 91ÖØ¿Ú would like to welcome all Veterans, Active Duty service members, reservists, dependents and families, as well as all other affiliates. On behalf of the 91ÖØ¿Ú community, Student Veterans, and local Veteran support groups, we would first like to say thank you and acknowledge your service and dedication to our nation.

The SVO is here to provide support and assistance as you transition begin or continue your education. The SVO works in close partnership with the Veterans First Program at 91ÖØ¿Ú to offer a seamless support system that facilitates academic success through mentorship of Veterans and assistance when needed.

Our goals as your SVO are to enrich the community with Veteran sponsored, patriotic events and to promote camaraderie through social gatherings thus creating a positive image of veterans in the surrounding area through community service. The SVO’s goal is to also establish functional and widespread networks of support and friendship for our military-related community as student Veterans navigate college and move out to the workforce. The SVO team is committed to advocacy for veterans, promoting awareness of and support for Veteran issues.

The Student Veterans Organization is a student ran organization, and all are welcome and encouraged to participate in our meetings, volunteering events, social gatherings, and community involvement.

If you have any questions or would like more information about Student Veteran Organization at 91ÖØ¿Ú or if you would like to hold an SVO position, please contact our team at lpcveteransfirst@laspositascollege.edu
