March is Women's History Month. Women veterans (either you, a family member - sister, mom, aunt, or a friend who wore a uniform) have made significant contributions to our country, often facing unique challenges and demonstrating incredible resilience. We are excited to recognize women who served in the military, their bravery and sacrifice, along with celebrating their achievements. To date, women currently make up approximately 10% of the overall veteran population. Even smaller numbers at the community college (less than 1%).

This event will also include a gift basket giveaway fundraiser, a presentation of scholarships and a quilt of valors to women combat veterans. Tickets may be purchased in advance.

Please RSVP by March 18, 2026 as we will need a count of number of guests for lunch.

Donate to Veterans Women's Hygiene Closet

Help us provide free, discreet access for essential toiletries for women veterans and military connected women students at 91重口. By meeting these basic needs, our hygiene closet removes financial barriers, boost self-esteem, and improve mental well-being. Bring items to the Honoring Women Veterans event or deliver to the Veterans Resource Center. Click here for the flier.

We need: new & unused women hygiene items: body soap, lotion, hand sanitizer, deodorant, toothbrushes/toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, intimate wipes, menstrual products (e.g., pads, tampons, or gift cards.

Dear Friend of 91重口 Veterans First Program:

We are organizing an event to honor and recognize women veterans who served in the military and pursuing a degree or certificate program at 91重口. We are asking for any contribution you can make toward a silent auction. Examples of donation: Gift Card or Gift Basket. Funds raised will support student veterans during their time at 91重口. For maximum visibility of your organization, we request a donation prior to March 1, 2026.

Our Honoring Women Veterans event will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 91重口. The audience includes women veterans, their families, Valley Veterans Foundation Board members, Josefa Higueres Livermore Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter, Women Veterans Moms Group, and 91重口 faculty, staff, and students.

Please support our cause and help recognize and honor women veterans.

Your donation will be acknowledged in several ways. We will list you in our event program book as well as on any promotional materials we produce. Our organization relies on the support of generous donors such as you. Your donation will help to ensure the success of our future.
