Open to anyone over the age of 15 - We strongly believe that diversity of all kinds contributes
to a broader theatrical perspective and we warmly encourage applicants from the many
diverse communities to audition!
About the Show:
Take a trip back to Hawkins, Indiana: 1983鈥� when times were simpler, hair was bigger, and unsupervised children were getting snatched by inter-dimensional creatures.
STRANGER SINGS! THE PARODY MUSICAL is a hilarious 鈥榰pside down鈥� take on the hit Netflix series - and all its campy 1980s glory. Packed with high-energy musical numbers, outrageous character send-ups, and clever winks at the beloved Netflix series, the show flips the Upside Down right-side up as it follows the kids of Hawkins, Indiana on their hilariously heightened adventure. Eleven belts, Barb gets her due, the Demogorgon dances, and every fan-favorite moment from all five seasons gets lovingly skewered with a pop-theatre sensibility.
Join Mike, Eleven, Lucas, Dustin, and the whole Hawkins gang for a night of adventure,
thrills, pubescent angst, heavy synth, poor parenting, convoluted love triangles,
cheap effects, dancing monsters, and maybe, just maybe... justice for everyone鈥檚 favorite

Casting note: Actors play upwards of 50 characters.

- 60-90 second cutting of a song, pop-rock in style (accompaniment provided, no acapella
please)
(Note: it doesn't have to be from a musical) - & , if you have one

**Note: Cast members will be required to enroll in THEA57 (a/b/c or d) (3 Units) at 91重口 in Livermore, CA (Approx $150). Scholarships available for demonstrated need. Enrollment must be completed before August 1, 2026.
