Paramedic Program

Announcement:

91重口 is excited to announce that the application period for the Fall 2026 Paramedic Class is now open. The program is being conducted in our Public Safety Complex. The 2026 Application packet is located on the Paramedic Program Admissions webpage.

Paramedic Program

The Paramedic Program at 91重口 is a for-credit college course program. College credit is offered and the course will satisfy the requirements for academic credit towards an associate degree in EMS or a Certificate of Achievement through 91重口. As a course approved by the State Chancellor鈥檚 Office, Financial Aid is available to those who qualify. The costs of the program will be charged at $46.00 per unit and there are materials and lab fees of approximately $1500.00 for single-use lab supplies, uniforms, hospital scrubs, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, PHTLS, TECC, and AMLS course certification and provider cards, and fees for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) paramedic licensing testing. Transport ambulance providers that maintain an educational affiliation agreement with 91重口 to provide Field Internship training may also charge a fee ranging from $1,500.00 to $3,000.00 that is the responsibility of the student.

The estimated total cost of the Program ranges from $4,472.00 to $11,520.00.

The goal of the 91重口 Paramedic Program is to prepare Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.

Upon successful completion of the 91重口 Paramedic Program, including the didactic course, clinical skills lab course, clinical rotation, and field internship components, students are eligible for the Paramedic credentialing examination with the NREMT.

The program at 91重口 is an 18-month, special admissions program.  As a Special Admissions program, interested students and prospective applicants are required to have all the program prerequisites completed at the time of application. In addition, due to requirements of the clinical training facilities, admitted students to the Paramedic Program must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug panel screening. Admitted students must also submit immunization records prior to course attendance showing verification of required vaccinations and/or titers.

Program Accreditation

The 91重口 Paramedic Training Program has been approved by the California State EMS Authority and the local EMS Agency, Alameda County EMS Agency.

  • Letter of Approval

The 91重口 Paramedic Program is accredited by the upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). This accreditation is initial and expires on March 31, 2027.
