Agreement – New or Renewed

Community college faculty are responsible for determining and authorizing appropriate curriculum and articulation.

To determine whether your high school or ROP courses are appropriate for articulation with a 91ÖØ¿Ú course, you will need to work collaboratively with 91ÖØ¿Ú faculty.

The articulation process allows faculty from both institutions to review the course content and determine whether the high school or ROP coursework appropriately aligns with the corresponding 91ÖØ¿Ú course.

Once courses have been identified as potential matches, the appropriate high school/ROP teacher and 91ÖØ¿Ú faculty member will need to meet and collaboratively review the courses.

The review may include:

• Course outlines
• Course competencies and learning outcomes
• End-of-course assessments
• Textbooks and instructional materials
• Other relevant course information

The faculty will use this information to determine whether the courses are sufficiently aligned to establish an articulation agreement.

IMPORTANT: Articulation is determined on a course-by-course basis. An agreement for one course does not automatically apply to other courses.

Approved articulation agreements are valid for three academic years from the date of endorsement by 91ÖØ¿Ú faculty/administration.

Articulation Deadlines

New Agreements - All new agreements must be to 91ÖØ¿Ú by the end of March of each academic year to be considered for the following academic year.

Renewal Agreements - All renewal agreements are treated as new agreements and must be to 91ÖØ¿Ú by the end of March of each academic year to be considered for the following academic year.

The following is a the process to articulate your course with 91ÖØ¿Ú:

Step 1 - Pre-Agreement Process

1. Identify similar courses using 91ÖØ¿Ú resources including:
• Las Positas Catalog
2. If course outline is not available, email lpc-hsarticulation@laspositascollege.edu 
3. Contact 91ÖØ¿Ú faculty to discuss potential course articulations for the next academic year.
• Prior to contacting 91ÖØ¿Ú faculty, be prepared to submit a course outline and a final exam for review and/or discussion.
4. Upon agreement with 91ÖØ¿Ú faculty for potential articulation, proceed to Step 2 below.

Step 2 - Agreement

1. Complete the Adult School - High School - ROP Course Articulation Agreement form
2. Obtain all required signatures.
3. Email to lpc-hsarticulation@laspositascollege.edu for college faculty/administration endorsement.

Step 3 - Agreement Approved

(Campus Credit Quick Start Guide)

1. Create teacher account in Campus Credit
2. Create class in Campus Credit
3. Accept students into the articulated class in Campus Credit.

Note: Once all required college-level approvals have been completed, a copy of the signed articulation agreement will be emailed to the instructors of record. The course will then be added to the Articulated Courses section on the 91ÖØ¿Ú website.
