High School Articulation
Adult School / High School / ROP Articulation
Adult School/High School/ROP articulation provides a legal process to align curriculum and instruction providing a seamless career pathway transition between courses, grades and schools at secondary institutions (including Adult Schools), community colleges and college/university levels. Articulation is open to all public Adult Schools, High Schools, and ROP's in California.
These articulation agreements create sequences of progressive, non-duplicated education leading to technical skill proficiency, a credential, a certificate, and/or a degree in a wide range of fields and careers. Such agreements include "credit by exam" to receive college credit for rigorous coursework taken at the high school level (separate from AP classes).
High School/Adult School articulated credit is transcripted as a letter grade on a student鈥檚 91重口 transcript. The final credit exam score will be used as a Credit-by-Exam for the articulated 91重口 course (California Education Code 搂55753.5). The credit appears on a student鈥檚 college transcript with the same letter grade they received in their high school class. For example, if a student receives a grade of 鈥淏鈥 in their high school articulated course, their college transcript will show the grade of 鈥淏鈥 next to the articulated college course. 91重口 will not remove the articulated grade from a student鈥檚 transcript once awarded. If there is an error with the grade, the grade change policy listed in the college catalog will apply.
