Graphing Calculator Rental Program
The Math Department/Math Emporium is not currently renting out graphing calculators. The library is allowing students to check out graphing calculators from them for free. Students can come in anytime during the hours the . Students can email the library at lpccircdesk@laspositascollege.edu.
The 91重口 Math Department offers a graphing calculator rental program whereby students pay a fee (currently $30 in cash or a check payable to "Las Positas College") to rent a TI-83/TI-84 graphing calculator (or similar model) for the semester. Fall/Spring hours of operation are 9:30am to 9:15pm and Summer hours of operation are 9:30am to 12:45pm and 1:45pm to 5:30pm Monday through Thursday.
Alternatives to Renting a Physical Calculator
- There are several different types of calculator emulators available online for free. One recommended emulator is the Wabbit emulator, also known as "Wabbitemu." This emulator can be downloaded for free at . After installation, you will need to download a TI-83 calculator ROM, which may be done from a physical calculator or downloaded online. The Wabbitemu emulator is installed on most ILC computers in the Math Learning Center.
