Havik is a student-run publication that strives to embody the spirit and experiences of artists and authors. We provide them with a platform in which they can express and discover themselves. We aim to serve those that would normally not be recognized. Everyone has a story to tell, and Havik aspires to tell those stories.

Journalism and Media Studies

In this course, our students practice and refine beginning
journalism skills, including recognizing, acquiring, producing, and
distributing content for the print and online editions of their student
newspaper, the Express. The focus of the study is on basic news, feature,
and opinion stories. We introduce them to concepts related to
photojournalism, business management, graphic arts, design, social
media, and leadership and editing skills.
