2024-2025

  • Committee Professional Development of CTE Outcomes Survey Data presented by Rajinder Samra, Director of Institutional Research & Planning.
  • Committee Professional Development of the Student-Centered Funding Formula (SCFF) presented by Rajinder Samra, 91重口 Director of Research, Planning and Institutional Effectiveness.
  • Committee Professional Development of Perkins Core Indicator Data presented by Robin Harrington from the State Chancellor鈥檚 Office.
  • Approval of Perkins Subgrant Awards for CTE Program Specific Projects (Total of xx Projects).  Disciplines include: Commercial Music, JAMS, Automotive Technology, Theater Technician, and Business.

2023-2024

  • Approval of Perkins Subgrant Awards for CTE Program Specific Capacity Building Projects (Total of 5 Projects). Disciplines include: ECE, BUSN, ESL, MUS, and JAMS.
  • Approval of Strong Workforce Program Subgrant Awards for CTE Program Specific Projects (Total of 1 Project). Discipline includes: Drone Technology.
  • Committee Professional Development of Perkins Core Indicator Data presented by Robin Harrington from the State Chancellor鈥檚 Office.
  • Committee Professional Development of the Student-Centered Funding Formula (SCFF) presented by Rajinder Samra, 91重口 Director of Research, Planning and Institutional Effectiveness.
  • Approval of the Executive Leadership Membership Revision.
  • Presentation by WestEd in preparation for the development of the District Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA).

2022-2023

  • The CTE Committee created a comprehensive report of accomplishments and challenges in each program by aligning these outcomes to our college priorities in our Educational Master Plan as well as the four goals outlined in our Economic and Workforce Strategic Plan.
  • The CTE Committee conducted research and identified gaps in our Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment which generated our C91重口CD Perkins CLNA Gap Analysis.
  • The CTE Committee submitted and reviewed the 2024 Perkins Subgrant Applications and awarded 7 programs funding.
  • The CTE Committee invited Professor, Jill Carbone, to come and present on her idea for a 鈥淐areer Jam鈥 which would offer students the opportunity to take 2 noncredit courses that could be taken together or separately to provide them the opportunity to explore careers and majors and obtain job-readiness skills and supports as they prepare to enter the workforce. If taken together, both courses would result in a certificate of completion.
  • The CTE Committee invited representatives to come present on ELENA which is an Employer CRM tool. ELENA offers access to ongoing employer engagement, work-based learning activity tracking, employer work-based learning pledge forms, and real-time reports and dashboards (aligned with SWP, Perkins, and CTEIG).
  • The CTE Committee had VP of Academic Services, Kristina Whalen, give a short presentation about the benefits of short-term sequenced courses ultimately leading to a degree or certificate. This presentation of short-term courses summarized current guidelines and strategies that colleges may use around short-term scheduling to increase enrollment, FTES, and student success.
  • The CTE Committee had Director of Research - Planning and Institutional Effectiveness, Rajinder Samra give a presentation on CTE Certificate Completions.
  • The CTE Committee reviewed and updated the charge of the committee to include reporting out of the outcomes from the Economic and Workforce Development Plan.

2021-2022

  • Reviewed and updated the committee charge.
  • Reviewed the Economic and Workforce Development Plan for Institution-wide implementation.
  • Approved the CTE committee Chair to serve on College Council (voting position).
  • Reviewed the Strong Workforce Program and Perkins Grant funding allocations for  2021/2022.
  • Held Fall 2021 Flex Day CTE session; 鈥淐TE Potluck鈥 which shared successes and  challenges with CTE programs and provided a space to offer advice and additional  techniques for improving their program amongst instructors.
  • Advised in the development of the C91重口CD Perkins Comprehensive Local Needs  Assessment.
