Pathway Student Success Teams 

Supporting Students in our Academic &

Career Pathways Phase One 

During College Day and our Community of Practice, folks across campus collaborated on great ways to support students around how to help students find Programs and use Degree and Certificate maps (Program Maps).  

Please feel free to use, modify, share the following:

Degree & Certificate Maps (Program Maps)

• Brainstorming Ideas of 
  • Syllabus Ideas: 
    • Put map in syllabus showing which pathway your class is in
    • Include the Pathway in a syllabus quiz
    • Put QR code in the syllabus
  • Office Hours/One-on-One: set up meeting with students to ask them what are you interested in?  Help them navigate to Pathways of interest to them and explore what is there.
  • Marketing
    • Express Newspaper column featuring different Pathway of the week.  
    • Digital and physical posters around campus
  • Activities:
    • Scavenger Hunt with prizes
    • Introduce the websites in class, show how to navigate
    • Discussion Board: go to the website to find map and share out
    • SMART Shop Workshops 
• Sample Communication (such as Canvas Annoucement, Email, Office Hour, etc.) anyone can use with students
  • : Help me get to know you better and our resources at 91重口!
• Sample Activity (such as Discussion Board, Assignment, etc.)
  • Investigate areas of interest and things to consider to support completion of goals
  • : Individual and Team portion to this assignment from Engineering.
