Am I Eligible for DSPS?
You may be eligible for DSPS if you have a physical, mental health, learning, or other medical condition that limits one or more major life activities and creates a disability-related barrier in the educational setting.
Major life activities may include learning, concentrating, thinking, communicating, reading, writing, seeing, hearing, walking, or caring for yourself.
Eligibility is determined individually based on verification of a disability and identification of a disability-related educational limitation. It does not depend on whether you received services in high school, had an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan, or use a particular diagnostic label.

You May Be Eligible If You Have:
DSPS serves students with a wide range of disabilities and health conditions, including:
- Learning disabilities
- Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Autism
- Mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or bipolar disorder
- Chronic or episodic health conditions, such as diabetes, epilepsy, autoimmune conditions, migraines, or long COVID
- Physical or mobility disabilities
- Blindness or low vision
- Deafness or hard of hearing
- Acquired or traumatic brain injury
- Intellectual disabilities
- Temporary medical conditions, including pregnancy-related medical conditions, when they limit a major life activity and create an educational limitation

considers how the condition affects your access and participation in the educational
setting.
You Might Qualify Even If:
- You never had an IEP or 504 Plan
- You were diagnosed recently
- Your disability is not visible
- Your symptoms come and go
- You manage your condition with medication, therapy, assistive technology, or other supports
- Your condition is service-connected or related to military service
- You are unsure whether your condition 鈥渃ounts鈥�
What DSPS Provides
DSPS provides individualized academic accommodations and access support to ensure equal access to college classes, programs, activities, and services.
Accommodations and services may include:
- Testing accommodations, such as extended time or a reduced-distraction setting
- Note-taking support
- Course materials in accessible formats
- Assistive technology
- Interpreting or captioning
- Priority registration
- Disability-related academic counseling
