Please note: as we transition to new Common Course Numbers, some courses in the same department are broken up into more than one subject. For example, COMM C1000 (formerly CMST 1), is now listed under the subject "Communication Studies," while all other Communication Studies courses are found under "Communication Studies 91重口."

Find examples of how to find and register for courses with new CCNs below:

  1. Select 91重口 as your campus.  
  2. For subject, select Communication Studies.
  3. For course number, type C1000.
  4. Click Search. 
  5. If you'd like, you can click Advanced Search to add additional filters.
  6. Always check the campus location and notes to be sure you are selecting a course that best meets your needs (i.e., on campus, online).

Please note: Other Communication Studies courses at 91重口 are currently listed under the subject Communication Studies 91重口.

MyPortal Registration Dashboard ENGL C1000 searchTo register for ENGL C1000 or ENGL C1001:

  1. Select 91重口 as your campus.  
  2. For subject, select English.
  3. For course number, type C1000 or C1001.
  4. Click Search. 
  5. If you'd like, you can click Advanced Search to add additional filters.
  6. Always check the campus location and notes to be sure you are selecting a course that best meets your needs (i.e., on campus, online).

Check 91重口's CCN Tables or talk to a counselor. 

No. If you completed a course under the old number, it still counts! The new number just makes it easier to track.

In most cases no, CCN courses transfer the same way they did before changing course numbers. But there may be unique cases where major articulation requirements are different. Please talk with Counseling for more information.
