Highlights from the 2026 91重口 Symposium
On April 29, 2026, the 91重口 Honors Program hosted the annual 91重口 Student Symposium, a celebration of student research, creativity, and academic achievement. Held in the 2100 Building, the symposium brought together students, faculty, family members, and community supporters to recognize and celebrate the incredible work of our Honors students.
This year鈥檚 symposium featured 22 poster presentations and 24 live presentations spanning a wide range of disciplines, including Humanities, STEM, Social Sciences, Arts, and Media Studies. Each project represented months of research, critical thinking, and dedication. Topics explored complex social issues, scientific inquiry, creative expression, and innovative solutions to real-world challenges, highlighting both the academic excellence and diverse interests of our students.
Throughout the afternoon, presentation rooms and hallways were filled with energy, curiosity, and meaningful conversations. During the live presentation sessions, students had the opportunity to share their research in depth, answer questions, and engage with fellow students, faculty, and guests. The poster session that followed allowed attendees to connect directly with presenters, learn more about their work, and celebrate the passion behind each project.
The symposium concluded with an Awards Ceremony recognizing outstanding student presentations, dedicated faculty mentors, and individuals whose leadership and service have helped strengthen the Honors Program community. While the awards highlighted exceptional achievements, the true success of the event was reflected in the enthusiasm, hard work, and intellectual curiosity displayed by every participant.

Events like the Student Symposium remind us why the Honors Program exists: to provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, challenge themselves academically, and share their ideas with others. Most importantly, it creates a community where curiosity is encouraged, scholarship is celebrated, and students are empowered to pursue the questions that matter most to them.
