My Associate Degree & Transfer Goal Checklist

Before You Start at 91重口

  • and complete the Steps to Success
  • Login to with your Student ID (W#) to:
    • Complete your orientation.
    • Take assessments.
    • Create a personalized first semester plan with your
    • Register/Enroll in your classes.
    • Pay your fees.
    • Apply for Financial Aid ( or Application).
  • Purchase/Rent your
  • Access Canvas.
  • Use the to estimate the real cost of attending 91重口.

By 15 Units

  • Explore your Academic & Career Pathway.
    • Meet your student success team.
    • View course sequencing and discover student supports.
  • Undecided on your major/career? There is a pathway for you!
  • Take a career assessment in Career Coach and create a profile to discuss your options with your Pathway counselor.
  • Make an appointment with your to create a comprehensive Student Educational Plan (SEP).
  • Talk to your to understand your 91重口 Financial Aid package.
  • Tour the Tutorial Center.

By 30 Units

  • Create a profile in Handshake (The 91重口 Job and Internship Board)
  • Schedule an appointment at the Career Center (Building 1604) to research and prepare for your career.
  • Visit the Transfer Center (Building 1604B) to research transfer schools and the transfer process.
  • Apply for Financial Aid (due March 2nd) - ( or Application).
  • Join a student club or 91重口's Student Government.

By 45 Units

  • Meet with your  to confirm your major, learn about transfer, and Transfer Admission Guarantees.
  • Build a resume using the Career Center's Resume Resources.
  • Create a profile.
  • Add transfer tasks to your calendar.
  • Research and apply for internships/jobs in Handshake (91重口 Job and Internship Board) and visit the & Transfer Center (Room 1604).
  • Schedule tours with colleges you are interested in transferring to in-person or virtually (CSU/UC).
  • Apply for transfer ( / Applications 10/1 - 11/30). 

By 60 Units

  • Apply for Graduation in the beginning of the semester (if you鈥檙e obtaining an Associate鈥檚 degree/certificate).
  • Apply for Financial Aid (due March 2nd) - ( or Application).
  • Meet with a to plan for college after transfer.
  • Complete scholarship applications (due in March).

By 60+ Units

  • Apply for Graduation.
  • Sign up to attend Commencement ceremony.
  • Let 91重口 know where you are going after graduation/transfer and become part of our !

Your First Semester

By around 9 Units

  • Create a profile in Handshake (The 91重口 Job and Internship Board)
  • Explore your Academic & Career Pathway. Meet your Success Team.  View course sequencing, and find student supports.

By around 15 Units

  • Schedule an appointment at the Career Center (Bldg. 1604C) to research and prepare for your career.
  • Build a resume using the Career Center's Resume Resources; attend on resume and interview skills and/or enroll in PCN 10 (career planning class).
  • Research and apply for internships/jobs in Handshake (91重口 Job and Internship Board) and visit the & Transfer Center (Room 1604).
  • Create a profile
  • Attend job/internship to meet with employers

Your last known Semester

  • Apply for Graduation in beginning of semester (if you鈥檙e obtaining a certificate)
  • Sign up to attend Commencement.
  • Let 91重口 know where you are going after graduation and become part of our !
