91重口 Caring Campus Initiative

What is Caring Campus?

The Caring Campus Initiative, developed by the (IEBC) and funded through a grant from the (CCCCO), is designed to create a college environment that increases students鈥� sense of connectedness and belonging and, in turn, completion of each student鈥檚 education goals.

The California Community Colleges Chancellor鈥檚 Office (CCCCO) embraced the power of Caring Campus to support Guided Pathways statewide and the Vision for Success with funding for IEBC鈥檚 Caring Campus work with 18 colleges in 2018 and an additional 18 colleges in 2020.

For 2021-2023, the CCCCO has expanded its IEBC Caring Campus support with funding for an additional 30 colleges. The new funding will empower almost two-thirds of all California community colleges to be Caring Campuses over the next two years. The objective of IEBC鈥檚 Caring Campus program is to increase student retention and success in community colleges by creating and cultivating caring environments through the intentional inclusion of all staff in student success efforts.
